Table Tennis Wales are looking for enthusiastic and motivated people to join our Board to support our ambition of inspiring Wales to enjoy Table Tennis- a sport for all, for life.
Table Tennis Wales is a limited company (not for profit) with a Board of Directors and we currently have 3 available positions which would give you valuable experience in serving on a board. Board Directors work together to ensure that the organisation is run efficiently and effectively, remains financially stable and delivers on our vision and strategy.
We don’t require any previous experience of being on a board as we can provide mentoring and training and we also don’t require you to have experience in the sport (except the Development and Communities role). The role will require around 1-2 day/s per month of your time to attend board meetings and any relevant working groups, meetings, events.
If you would like to contribute your time, skills and experience we are particularly looking for individuals who can take forward the following areas:
Development and Communities– support and grow our clubs and leagues and widen opportunities to participate in the sport in different settings (table tennis experience is essential for this role)
People and Diversity-develop our equality and disability inclusion plans and support our workforce (paid and voluntary)
Communications and Engagement– develop the TTW ‘brand’ and related communications plan
We are aiming to build a diverse, inclusive and balanced Board and are committed to equality of opportunity. We would welcome expressions of interest from people with disabilities, individuals from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities, women and young people and LGBTIQA+ people.
If you would like to express an interest in either of these roles, please send your CV with a short summary of what skills and experience you could bring to the role to:
Rhian Pearce (TTW CEO) on email@example.com
For an informal discussion on these roles please call Rhian at the TTW office on 029 20 334999.
